All my training and experience, from a B.Sc (Hons) in Organic Farming to a BTEC Advanced Diploma in Nutrition and Health Coaching from the Irish Institute of Nutritional Health, indicate that food can heal the body.
My focus is to work predominately with food, deciphering the contradictory information on food and eating, while keeping the use of supplements to a minimum.
My work is all about combining cutting-edge food science, experience and a good deal of common sense to tailor dietary advice specific to each client's needs and to help each client to adopt this advice long-term.

The Functional Medicine approach that I use takes into account the person's current health status as well as the context of lifetime health and lifestyle, while focusing on each individual's goals and wishes.
The recommendations that I make are aimed at improving overall health by optimising each body system (intestinal tract, immune system, endocrine system, etc). This approach is backed up by The Institute of Functional Medicine (www.functionalmedicine.org) in the USA which promotes a 21st century evidence based nutrition and healthcare.
