I was absolutely delighted to hear the WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announce his tips for staying well during the global Covid19 pandemic.
He pointed out that it is vital to keep looking after our mental and physical health during these times of dramatic change in our lives.
The WHO Chief's Top 3 Tips:
1. Eat a healthy & nutritious diet, which helps your immune system to function properly.
2. Limit your alcohol consumption & avoid sugary drinks.
3. Don’t smoke. Smoking can increase your risk of developing severe disease if you become infected with Covid19.
As a Nutritional Therapist I was absolutely delighted to hear Dr Tedros put such emphasis on simple nutritional intervention amid the global pandemic.
The truth is that we are all in this together, we all have a lot of control over how we can respond and the difference this will make to our lives and that of others around us.
